What we help with

Returning to civilian life

Everyday matters, documents, relationships, a new role. Social adaptation for veterans and their families.

Talking to a specialist

Counselling with a psychologist or social worker — about your situation, not a template.

Work

Job search, interview preparation and support in the first months at a new job — including in GRADIENT BUILDERS teams.

Where to turn

Information: what you are entitled to, how to apply for benefits and public services, which office handles your question.

Your rights

Help with benefits, applications to public authorities and representing your interests.

Conflict at home or at work

Mediation: a specialist helps the parties reach agreement without taking sides.

Before it gets hard

Sessions on burnout, addiction and stigma — before a problem grows.

Crisis intervention and rehabilitation later

Social and psychological rehabilitation, including for addictions. We will add it once the team can work around the clock. Until then, in an acute crisis — 7333 and 112.

Services are provided by qualified specialists — including psychologists and psychotherapists of the SYNTONIA programme — guided by the state standards of social services.

How it works

  1. You write or call. Via the form below, email or phone — whatever suits you.
  2. We reply within two working days. No reply? Check your spam folder or call us.
  3. A short conversation. We figure out what you need. Share as much as you want.
  4. We agree on the service, format and specialist. Online or in person, at a convenient time.
  5. Afterwards, we ask whether it helped. That is how we get better.

Send a request

We only need a way to reach you and a few words about your request. The form does not ask about health, injuries or service — you can discuss that with a specialist if you wish.

Your rights

Confidentiality

What you share stays between you and the specialist — except where life is at risk or the law explicitly requires otherwise. Data is stored securely and only as long as necessary.

Right to stop

You can stop receiving a service at any time, without explanation or consequences.

Right to complain

If something went wrong with a specialist or a service — email safe@gradientcenter.org. That inbox is read by the person responsible for safeguarding, not by whoever provides the service. Anonymous messages are accepted. A reply within 10 working days; then the Board, the General Meeting, the court (section 7 of the Statute).

How we protect you

Who is responsible

A separate person appointed by the Board is responsible for safeguarding — not the coordinator and not the specialist working with you. Inbox: safe@gradientcenter.org.

Who we let work

Before the first request a specialist shows a degree in the field and a method certificate, gives a supervisor contact, signs the code of ethics and the safeguarding policy; for work with children — a criminal-record certificate.

If it becomes dangerous

If there is a threat to life during a consultation, the specialist stops, helps call 112 or 7333 and informs the responsible person within an hour. We are not an emergency service and say so plainly.

Incidents

Every report is logged; the annual report publishes the number of incidents and how they were handled — even if it is “0”.

FAQ

01

How much does it cost?

Nothing. NGO GRADIENT’s social services are free for recipients. They are funded by grants, charitable donations and social commissioning by communities.

02

Do I need documents to reach out?

Not for the first conversation. If a specific service requires documents, the specialist will tell you in advance and explain why.

03

Who will know that I reached out?

Only the specialists working with you. We do not share your data with employers, command or anyone else without your consent, except where the law expressly requires it.

04

Are you listed in the Register of Social Service Providers?

Not yet — we are working towards it. The statute amendments have been adopted; once registered, we apply to the Register. We will announce it on this page.

05

I don’t live in Kyiv. Can you help?

Yes, online — anywhere in Ukraine. If you need in-person help in another region, we will point you to services near you.

06

How is this different from SYNTONIA consultations?

Social services are provided free of charge on behalf of NGO GRADIENT. Private consultations with SYNTONIA specialists as independent practitioners are a separate, paid format. If anything is paid, we will say so clearly and in advance.
